Phaidon International was founded in London in 2004 as a seven-person team. Since then, we have consistently ranked among the fastest-growing recruitment consultancies. We focus on delivering high-quality recruitment solutions by specialising our consultants in specific niches and regions. This allows us to build genuine market expertise and create long-term value for both clients and candidates.
What does a Recruitment Consultant do at Phaidon International?
During the interview process, you will be aligned with a sub-team within one of our specialised brands. You will build your own network, nurture long-term, non-transactional relationships, and establish yourself as a market expert by taking ownership of the following core recruitment responsibilities:
Business Development
- Proactively contacting potential clients (via phone, email, and messaging platforms) to build relationships, expand networks, and win new business
- Presenting and negotiating service agreements with key decision-makers
- Managing and maintaining existing client relationships, providing regular updates throughout ongoing search processes
- Analysing and qualifying clients' hiring needs to fully understand the role, company objectives, and required experience
Candidate Sourcing
- Active sourcing / headhunting of top talent (mid-level, senior, and executive level) within your assigned niche and region
- Networking with passive candidates who are not actively looking for new opportunities
- Conducting phone conversations with active and passive candidates to build relationships, assess the market, and understand career motivations
- Regular outreach via phone, email, and messaging to build and maintain a strong talent pipeline
Process Management
- Presenting suitable candidates to clients
- Coordinating the full interview process, including feedback between candidates and clients
- Managing offer and contract negotiations with candidates
- Post-placement support: maintaining regular contact after a successful placement to ensure long-term fit and success
What we are looking for:
- Languages: Fluent in English (business level), German is not required, but preferred
- Education: A completed degree (Bachelor's/Master's) or an equivalent recognised qualification
- High levels of self-motivation, a strong willingness to learn, and a desire to develop in a new role
- Results-driven mindset, resilience, and a strong commercial focus
