  • Position: Chemistry Expert
  • Type: Contract
  • Compensation: $75–$83/hour
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 20 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

  • Author technical tasks to evaluate AI model performance on chemistry problems.
  • Review and annotate tasks involving reaction schemes, spectra (NMR, IR, MS), and phase diagrams.
  • Produce original problem sets and write reference solutions.
  • Apply structured quality checks to ensure task accuracy and relevance.
  • Work independently and asynchronously with a flexible schedule to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, or MS in Chemistry with 3+ years research or industry experience, or BS in Chemistry with 5+ years lab, synthesis, or QC experience.
  • Working fluency in at least two of: organic, inorganic, physical, analytical, biochemistry.
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting reaction schemes, spectra (NMR, IR, MS), and phase diagrams.
  • Clear technical writing; able to articulate reasoning step-by-step in written form.
