To do so, we have built a modular software platform that digitizes and optimizes workflows in hospitals with cutting-edge technology in a user-friendly way. With our software, we enable hospitals, doctors, and nurses to provide their patients with the best possible care. We value diverse backgrounds and see diversity as one of our core strengths, fostering an inclusive environment where innovation thrives.
We are seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer (all genders) to join our infrastructure team at Avelios Medical. This pivotal role involves taking ownership of deploying and operating our healthcare software across both cloud and clinical environments. As a leader in our DevOps function, you will drive technical excellence, set standards, and guide the team towards building scalable, secure, and reliable systems. You will work closely with developers, product teams, and leadership to ensure our infrastructure supports our mission of transforming healthcare through innovative technology. This role is integral to how we build, deploy, and maintain our healthcare software at scale, directly impacting patient outcomes and operational efficiency in hospitals.
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field, or have equivalent practical experience. Extensive experience in DevOps or infrastructure roles, especially within scalable or production-critical systems, is essential. Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience in DevOps teams is highly valued, along with the ability to guide and develop engineers. Deep expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Linux environments is required. Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible, and modern DevOps toolchains, is necessary. A strong understanding of monitoring, alerting, and logging systems is also critical. Candidates should have a strong ownership mindset, a hands-on problem-solving approach, and an interest in working in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of German is a plus but not mandatory.

We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate based on race, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic. We believe that diversity fosters innovation and drives our mission forward, and we actively seek to build a team that reflects the diverse communities we serve.
