Position: Chemistry Expert

Type: Contract

Compensation: $75–$83/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 20 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

Author technical tasks to evaluate AI model performance on chemistry problems.Review and annotate tasks involving reaction schemes, spectra (NMR, IR, MS), and phase diagrams.Produce original problem sets and write reference solutions.Apply structured quality checks to ensure task accuracy and relevance.Work independently and asynchronously with a flexible schedule to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

Must-Have

PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, or MS in Chemistry with 3+ years research or industry experience, or BS in Chemistry with 5+ years lab, synthesis, or QC experience.Working fluency in at least two of: organic, inorganic, physical, analytical, biochemistry.Comfortable reading and interpreting reaction schemes, spectra (NMR, IR, MS), and phase diagrams.Clear technical writing; able to articulate reasoning step-by-step in written form.
