As a Senior Test Automation Engineer/Software Development Engineer in Test, you will work closely with developers, product managers, customer success and designers to ensure every feature delivers exceptional quality and user satisfaction.This role combines hands-on testing, automation, and innovative problem-solving. You’ll have the opportunity to drive automation efforts with tools like Playwright, screen and refine incoming tasks, and support scheduled release processes with manual testing where needed. Beyond this, you’ll play a key role in holding the engineering team to our quality standards, championing best practices, and exploring innovative approaches, such as leveraging AI in testing.You will:Drive the design and implementation of automation frameworks using tools like Playwright, ensuring scalable, reliable, and maintainable test coverageCollaborate closely with engineers during the development lifecycle to identify edge cases and potential pitfalls earlyScreen and refine incoming tasks, ensuring clear requirements and testability before development beginsConduct exploratory testing for complex workflows and manual testing during scheduled release cycles to ensure seamless launchesChallenge engineers to uphold high-quality standards in code, functionality, and user experience, contributing to a culture of engineering excellenceExperiment with AI-driven testing approaches, identifying opportunities to enhance the speed and depth of QA processesMonitor production systems and implement automated checks to maintain platform reliability and detect regressions proactivelyContribute to cross-functional projects, offering insights into testing strategies for smarter Technologies: TypeScript, Node.js, Vue.js, and MongoDB for building scalable, maintainable, and high-performing applicationsAutomation Frameworks: Playwright, Vitest, and Mocha/Chai for comprehensive automated testingInfrastructure: Docker, Github Actions and AWS for scalable CI/CD pipelines and production systemsCollaboration: GitHub, Notion, and async communication tools to work transparently automationAre proficient in TypeScript and familiar with Page Object Model patternsAre proficient with automation tools like Playwright or Cypress and have experience designing reusable frameworksHave experience with Vue.js or similar modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular)Understand API and integration testing and have experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databasesFamiliar with testing AI/ML
