We're an international, distributed team — with Berlin and Bangalore as one of our key hubs.The RoleBased in Berlin (at least 3 days/week in-office),you'll be the operational backbone of our People function - ensuring smooth HR processes across the employee lifecycle while also helping maintain an organized, welcoming office environment. You'll partner closely with People, Finance, and leadership team to create a seamless employee experience from pre-onboarding to offboarding.Your Responsibilities & ImpactPeople OperationsOwn HR processes across the employee lifecycle (pre-onboarding to offboarding)Prepare employment documents (offer letters, contracts, reference letters)Manage payroll input and collaborate closely with Finance teamMaintain accurate, compliant, and confidential personnel records in our HRIS (Personio)Coordinate performance review and feedback cycles (via Leapsome)Improve HR policies - because "that's how we've always done it" isn't good enoughPrepare regular and ad-hoc HR reportsEnsure compliance with German labor law and workplace regulationsOffice & CultureAct as the go-to person for Berlin office operationsManage office supplies, vendors, and general administrationOrganize company events, workshops, and team gatheringsSupport workplace safety topics and external service providersIT Coordination Manage equipment logistics for onboardings and offboardings for our global teamCoordinate user account setup and basic IT logisticsLiaise with external vendors when neededYou don't need to be an IT expert - just the person who gets things sortedWhat Success Looks LikeHR operations run smoothly and efficientlyPayroll, documentation and reporting are always accurate and on timeEmployees feel supported throughout their lifecycleOur Berlin office remains an organized and welcoming spaceProcesses are continuously improved, not just maintainedYou Might Be a Great Fit If YouAre based in Berlin and can work in-office at least 3 days per weekHave at least 2+ years of hands-on experience in People Operations / HR Generalist rolesHave experience in a fast-paced, international environmentHave experience automating processes and integrating AI into your daily workflowUnderstand German employment law and HR best practicesAre structured, detail-oriented, and highly reliableCommunicate fluently in German and EnglishEnjoy taking ownership and working hands-on across HR and operationsFeel comfortable coordinating basic IT topics or external vendorsHold a Bachelor's degree in HR or related fieldsWhy Join Kayzen?Real ownership from day oneDirect access to top management and an extremely "visible" roleExceptional career growth and learning opportunityA fun, driven, and multinational team located across Germany, India, UK, Argentina, Ukraine, Spain and many more countriesA 500-dollar home-office setup budgetA 1000-dollar annual learning and development budget26 vacation days/year
