With a team of 80+ people across Berlin (HQ) and Asia, it is building the world’s first industrial-grade AI operating system for materials – redefining how global trade works in one of the world’s largest and most essential industries.The company is backed by top-tier investors as well as global institutional banking partners, having recently closed its $40m series B - Atomico, Project A, and Invent Capital with institutional backing from Commerzbank and KfW.What You Will DoLead and manage the core accounting team of 2 professionalsManage day-to-day (preparatory) bookkeepingSupport in the preparation of monthly-, quarterly- and annual financial statements as well as internal reporting according to HGB and IFRSPrepare and analyze monthly expenses related to material and logistic costs, identifying variances and ensuring accuracy in reportingCollaborate with and support other internal departments and the board of management on tax and financial accounting issues and projectsLead accounts receivable processes, including responding to external inquiries and managing the dunning process to ensure timely collectionsLiaise with our external accountancy firmSupport on finance initiatives to support and the management in an international environmentWho You AreRelevant experience in an audit firm (Big Four or mid-tier a plus) and / or experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance or similar field A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a focus on finance/accounting or comparable qualification.Sound knowledge of IFRS as well as HGB.Advanced Excel skills.You have strong communication skills and are fluent in German and English.You have strong organizational skills and keep a cool head even in stressful situations.You have familiarity and comfort with financial, accounting and business systems software, especially, DATEV, DUO (DATEV Unternehmen Online); experience with Expense management solutions as well as Salesforce is a plus.We are an equal-opportunity employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, or any other characteristic.
