About The Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated AI Engineer (d/m/w) to join our forward-thinking team at MADSACK. In this role, you will be at the forefront of integrating artificial intelligence into our media operations, developing intelligent solutions that enhance journalistic workflows, data analysis, and content generation. You will collaborate closely with product owners, editorial teams, and developers to design, implement, and optimize AI-based applications. Your work will directly influence the future of media by creating solutions that make journalism smarter, more efficient, and more engaging. Qualifications

A completed university degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field with a focus on technology.Initial professional experience in developing digital products, preferably with a focus on AI applications.Proficiency with language models, prompt engineering, and familiarity with frameworks such as LangGraph or similar agent-based frameworks.Experience with Kubernetes and at least one major cloud platform such as AWS or Azure, including deployment and operational management of applications.Knowledge of GitOps methodologies (e.g., Flux or ArgoCD), CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code practices.Strong problem-solving skills with a creative approach to overcoming complex technical challenges.Excellent command of German (C1 level or higher) in both written and spoken communication.Willingness to occasionally visit our Hannover location, with flexibility for remote work arrangements.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement AI-driven solutions using LangGraph, Anthropic SDK, and other relevant tools, translating business needs into functional products.Select appropriate models, tools, and architectures, ensuring optimal input and output quality for various applications.Analyze existing applications to identify opportunities for optimization and define solutions spanning machine learning and generative AI domains.Build and manage the infrastructure supporting AI solutions, including Kubernetes clusters on AWS and Azure, automated deployment pipelines, and observability tools like Grafana and Loki.Lead the entire lifecycle of AI prototypes from initial conception to production deployment, employing Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps practices.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, editorial staff, and developers to enhance and evolve AI-enabled tools.Conduct testing, fine-tuning, and ongoing monitoring of applications to ensure stability, performance, and continuous improvement.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest AI trends and technologies, integrating them into our workflows where appropriate.
